#"'THE DAYS OF NOAH', IN OUR GENERATION"...

In light of the following blog title, I wanted to direct you to a published article that I believe speaks to the "proper balance" that is needed for segments of the Pentecostal and Charismatic communities in Christendom, to "get it" in regards to proper application and representation of the message in this passage..

"As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark, And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away–so will be the coming of the Son of Man." [Gen. 6:5-8; 7:6-24.] (Matthew 24:37-39 AMP)

"PROPHECY SPECULATION?"

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT endorsing every nuance of this article in any way, except to highlight the importance of us all uncovering the Spirit's intended "context" of scripture through the inspired vessel, along with sharing a "sound interpretation" that should lead to proper application and understanding for every genuine student of God's Word.

There are "cessationist" who do NOT believe in the "progressive revelation" that many "Spirit-filled" believers espouse, and Cessationism in Christianity - is the doctrine that Apostolic gifts ceased with the original twelve apostles. This is generally opposed to the view of "continuationism", which teaches that the Holy Spirit may bestow the sign gifts to persons other than the original twelve apostles, at any time in the Church age.

To me, the arguments are quite ridiculous, in light of the extension of Christ's ministry that "we" the Church stand as, as HIS true representatives "on earth"! We're NOT always a "glowing example" though, but nonetheless, "we have this treasure in earthen vessels".

The egocentric spookiness and super-spiritual antics in Christ's Church are to blame - in many cases, as well as the inability to properly manage HIS "Rhema" to us, as we tend to bend or misinterpret it into our temporal thinking, instead of in light of HIS eternal purpose!

I wrote a blog that gives my view exhaustively in the link below: "True & False Apostolic Order"

THE DAYS OF NOAH..?

This morning as I reflect upon twenty years of intense Apostolic & Prophetic Ministry, there are things that I've had to battle with in my own heart concerning the faithfulness of God to fulfill HIS Word "in" and "to" me!

I cannot tell you "how many" supernatural interventions, prophetic words, miracles, signs, and wonders God has wrought in my life the past forty-one years, much less the last twenty or so.  But TODAY, God whispered something to me in my heart that I MUST prophesy in the midst of one of the ripest seasons for Reformation, Restoration and Restitution - TO THIS GENERATION!

Before I do, in light of these statements above, I first want to bring proper context to my words, because "we" tend to improperly interpret and twist Noah's story for the purpose of selling our: "apocalyptic stew", fundraising "spins", or ambitious opinions; AND, "prophecy" is NOT born of the will of flesh or man, but of GOD!

I do BELIEVE in the dynamic of the Spirit's leading in the life of every believer, but I do NOT see that personal ministry as conflicting or independent of spiritual unity, spiritual authority, or spiritual agreement with God's Word!

Misapplications, Misinterpretations, and Improper Context are ALL associated with "the will of the flesh", because our title-frenzy "church culture" and society needs affirmation, recognition and validation from men, instead of the true honor and rewards that comes from Almighty God!

This is ONE of the reasons that the prophetic word does NOT need a popular platform, but a purpose-driven personality with a singular focus upon being God's mouthpiece to "their generation" in a CLOSET, if that happened to be the actual proximity of "the instrument" God chose to use...

If we're truly "being prophetic" and NOT "pathetic", we will NOT attempt to make everything that occurs - about US or OTHERS, but God's Agenda that can be known by the AGREEMENT of 1 John 5:7-12, or SIMPLY "walking in the Spirit"...

"So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One; and there are three witnesses on the earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree [are in unison; their testimony coincides]. If we accept [as we do] the testimony of men [if we are willing to take human authority], the testimony of God is greater (of stronger authority), for this is the testimony of God, even the witness which He has borne regarding His Son. He who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] has the testimony [possesses this divine attestation] within himself. He who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him out to be and represented Him as a liar, because he has not believed (put his faith in, adhered to, and relied on) the evidence (the testimony) that God has borne regarding His Son. And this is that testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life." (1 John 5:7-12 AMP)

EVERYTHING that JESUS said was "prophetic", but NOT everything that we say UNLESS - "HIS Spirit" governs the explanation, initiation, or origination of our words and actions, actually is!

THEN, "being prophetic" is about our ALIGNMENT to HIS Heart for us, NOT some "flat prediction" that ONLY means something to YOU, but no one else!

THIS is what it meant (in context) concerning the words JESUS SPOKE in Matthew 24 and Luke 17...

YES, "the testimony of JESUS is the Spirit of Prophecy" (Rev. 19:10-11), but when you "force the prophetic, you distort the homiletic and produce a pathetic misrepresentation of HIS Heart and Mind"!

Think about this...Its YOUR OWN life (mortality) that matters! "Just like Noah's obedience" positioned he and his family to be preserved in the "sea of darkness" that literally flooded the earth, so does yours or my obedience act as a saving grace to "our world" that is doing life "as usual", often with no consciousness of what is going on in a way that produces and provokes alignment to HIS Will!

The Apostle Paul said, "it is better to PROPHESY", so in and to "your world" - YOU MUST!

BUT, that places a BURDEN OF RESPONSIBILITY to "walk in the Spirit, so you do NOT fulfill the lust of the flesh"!

What is "prophetic" concerning YOU is NOT necessarily relevant to ANYONE ELSE until GOD aligns "the pieces" and "the players" that FIT into HIS PLAN..

But EVEN IF it's relevant or urgent to OTHERS, it's STILL really NOT "about you"!

LET US grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ together, without being imbalanced and immature in our approach to "the prophetic"!

The burden to "be" HIS mouthpiece must be governed by the ability to exercise self control and discipline in regards to what we speak "in HIS name"!
