“LIVING IN THE SHADOWS”..
"Living in the shadows" is consciously choosing what is partially satisfying, or systematically following what is a vague representation of the "real" something we know that is too be; by settling for the imperfect imitation or copy of God's idea of: true happiness, success, or fulfillment in every area of our lives. Most people come to this point of compromise to the vision in their own hearts, because it's quite difficult to swim upstream - when the looming shadows of someone else's success or "model life" makes you feel stupid, small or insignificant.
