#THE TRUTH will SET YOU FREE!
"Black folks" in America NEVER RECEIVED "extra rights", and neither should LGBTQ citizens..
The EXCESSIVE NEED to seek these extra rights, is what will cause delays in the progress that progressives and activists in the LGBTQ community are actually seeking!
Q. Do you have issue with LGBTQ persons pursuing "Equal Rights"?
A. ABSOLUTELY NOT! BUT, "equal rights" has CONTEXT, and within the framework of true civility and the commonality that must exist within our human society (as a democratic republic), what is normally based upon a "majority consensus" that has always been governed by the long-standing principles of our historic, factual, and evidence-based society; which now seems to be all about the preferences and agenda of one particular group.
In fact, BLACK FOLKS never wanted to be treated as anything - but as HUMAN BEINGS; NOT as animals or "slave labor" for a privileged group, in a government and power structure that had unjust laws, overt prejudice and biased inequity; through its foundational rulings and operations against people of color.
Q. Do you mean a minority of our population (LGBTQ) should SUFFER because their unlike the majority?
A. ABSOLUTELY NOT! BUT, the idea of EQUALITY should NEVER be misconstrued or mismanaged by politicians or (media) pundits, because the gross imbalance will lead to "taking the rights of others" - "to accommodate the desires of a few"!
By "forcing consensus" on society that appears to be "righting the wrong" of its community with any person or organization that refuses to buy in to their agenda, the LGBTQ leadership is creating a greater divide in society; based upon their determination to legally advocate on behalf of the feelings and frustrations of its community members, as the strategic focus of its educational and legislative agenda.
Our "founding documents" fully accommodates whatever nuance or difference that our national diversity (or "cultural competency issues") can bring, as this country continues to grow and change!
And, the expanding laws and cultural complexities (which should be, "society's acceptance and understanding - without manipulation or force") is necessary to properly govern and maintain civility in our world. But, FIRST, progress must come through EDUCATION and CONVERSATION; and then through the democratic process that should NEVER overlook the majority's decision to impose the agenda of a few on us all!
Sadly, the ostracizing of anyone in disagreement with the LGBTQ agenda has led to "forcing acceptance", by legalizing and legitimizing this community that "does deserve to be heard", but may very well spur the demise of many of the LGBTQ activist and advocacy plans and pursuits (that are important for the legitimate needs of this growing community); yet they are lost in the quagmire of intolerance towards "finding a healthy medium" instead of "demanding your way".
By "letting the voice of this community be hijacked" through the hyper-aggressive posturing seen in a large segment of the LGBTQ establishment, which intentionally bullies with lawsuits, threats of violence, and judicial favors; citizens "with no axe to grind" become offended at the enforcing and the policing for one group (LGBTQ persons); to the total neglect and demonizing of another group (Christians - especially; and sometimes - society at large).
CASE IN POINT: The rise of unwarranted lawsuits on people who are unwilling to compromise their faith, is an example..
LISTEN: IF ANY BUSINESS doesn't want my money, and "for their own moral or religious reasons" states that "they don't want to serve me" - because, "I'm black", "I'm overweight", or "too handsome" (Lol); I'm steppin' to the next business for the product or service that I'm willing to pay for, and for the kind treatment and good service that every patronizing customer deserves!
Q. Do you think that "A baker should refuse to bake a cake for a gay couple?"
A. No, I wouldn't; but NOT because "I endorse" same-sex marriage! When you're "doing business as a Christian", our witness to the world means "we should reflect the love of Christ", and unless "we're judging, based upon someone's appearance"; "we're investigating, to uphold our righteousness"; or "we're separating, to represent our uncompromising stance against sin" - the real question we must ask ourselves...: "Is baking a cake 'for a SINNER' (homosexual couple, fornicating couple, or adulterous affair), actually endorsing or signing-off on their sin?"
We MUST be careful not to SEE OURSELVES as the "moral standard" that people must attain to, to be redeemed by The Lord!
OUR JOB is to be AVAILABLE for anyone - "just like Jesus would be", until they decide that the way that their living contradicts the life and the eternal future they desire to behold. WS-3
