"ALMIGHTY GOD" is FIGHTING FOR US!

REMEMBER — DO what we CAN and SHOULD, but RECOGNIZE "when" we need GOD TO FIGHT!!

As the Man of War, Mark 10:27 states that with God nothing is impossible. This means that there is no battle in the celestial or terrestrial realms or anywhere in the universe in which God can be defeated.

Isaiah 66:1 says that the heaven is His throne, and the earth His footstool. Be assured that no battle or issue, financial, spiritual, emotional, marital, or otherwise, can ever overwhelm or surprise our God.

No matter your situation, rest in God, and as you pray, the LORD God Who is mighty in battle will show His strength by His hand in your life.

Every situation in life that is contrary to God's word will be obliterated, in Jesus' Name. The Holy Spirit must help us to glorify God on the earth in all that we do. That is the only way we can successfully finish our assigned duty like Christ, Paul and others did.

Like the Prophet Joel, I invite you to come to the battlefield mapped out for every believer by the LORD Jesus Christ Himself.

Joel 3:9 (NKJV) says, "Proclaim this among the nations: "Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, let them come up."

Ephesians 6:18 (MSG) says, "In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long.

When God chooses to fight, He does so until ALL matters are concluded: When he dealt with Pharoah, Exodus 14:28 records that "Not so much as one of them remained." In Joshua 10:11, God used the first recorded types of bombs and rockets from air space against the five kings of the Amorites i.e. the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon. It was that same day that Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stand still (Joshua 10:12) because of his commitment to victory.

After Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, received the report of what God did to the popular and revered gods of Egypt, he said, as recorded in Exodus 18:11 that, "Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods; for in the very thing in which they behaved proudly, He was above them." The lesson from this account in Exodus 18 is that whatever man can boast of, God is greater than it.  

• He takes over command from human leaders when battles become fierce: Moses, Aaron, Miriam, and all the great men and women of Israel died without entering or possessing the Promised Land except Caleb and Joshua. God instructed Joshua to raise a replacement army (Joshua 5:2-4). As soon as Joshua did that, suddenly a new commander, the LORD Himself, emerged from above to take over from Joshua (Joshua 5:13-14).

God is released to fight for us when we completely submit and surrender to Him, as our power is perfected in submission (James 4:6-7). Proverbs 3:34 is in agreement that God will actively resist any man or minister of the gospel who is rebellious or arrogant.  

• He is a military tactician: He knows when to give the command for His army to go into full-scale combat against His enemies, as well as when to withdraw.

To cut off the divining mandate and sorcery powers of the Egyptian magicians, God simply authorized Moses to relieve them of their staffs of office and divination tools (Exodus 7:8-12)!  Every plague that befell Egypt through Moses' hands where all chosen and designed by God to judge and destroy every evil spirit, deity, or god of Egypt. At the end, the strong man of Egypt was totally bound, and the Israelites majestically walked away in victory because God, their General & Commanding Officer, led the way to sweet triumph.  In the battle between Israel and Midian, in the days of Gideon, God did the recruitment (Judges 7:2-7). Then, He set up dreams and occasions to boost the morale of Gideon and his men (Judges 7:9-15).  When the war itself broke out, God, Gideon and the 300 men were on the offensive. Without lifting any conventional human weapon, the whole of the enemy's army fled and turned against each other. Thus, they were annihilated with no loss on Gideon's side (Judges 7:20-22).  

• God's weapons of war are absolutely reliable: They are as ageless as Jehovah Himself and have been tested for thousands of years and proven perfect. Since they are not man-made, there are no defects, no need for upgrades, and are impenetrable by viruses. They are mighty and incisively effective when God is involved and cause greater havoc than any deadly weapon man has ever invented or will ever invent (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).

They cause disarray in the enemy's camp spiritually, making him look foolish and inexperienced in battle.  When you rely on God's weaponry in righteousness, you never have to lose any battle again (Ephesians 6:13). What a great and firm assurance, leaving no room for fear, which only serves to weaken the effectiveness of one's spiritual weapons.

GOD EQUIPS & EMPOWERS FOR WAR:

Without any iota of a doubt, our God is a Man of War and absolutely a tactician. As such, He trains and equips his Blood-bought and redeemed children for warfare. One of the most important things we can understand as believers is that we are in a battle! The moment we surrender to Jesus, we are automatically engaged in an unceasing battle for our very souls. Hence, we are called to be soldiers in this war and to endure hardship as good soldiers (2 Timothy 2:3)! Ephesians 6:10-18 is critical to understanding how to succeed as a warrior and win the battle over our enemy!

• He trains us for warfare: "Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle" (Psalms 144:1). David had defeated the Philistines at various battles, any one of which could have taken his life. God helped him through Abishai, Sibbechai, Elhanan, and Jonathan (2 Samuel 21:15-22). After that, David wrote the song recorded in 2 Samuel 22:32-35 where he attested that God was not only his strength and power, but that the LORD also taught his hands to make war.
  

God is an outstanding trainer. No one who graduates from God's war college can ever be beaten by the devil. Those who walk with Him cannot but be warriors and train others. Abraham was a friend of God who experienced total victory in warfare (Genesis 14:14-16).

God had taught him to raise and maintain a powerful, unintimidated recovery army.Another friend of God was Moses. He was fierce in spiritual warfare, and he remains yet unparalleled. He single-handedly confronted Pharoah and led Israel victoriously out of Egypt.

Both Elijah and Elisha earned the name, "…the chariots of Israel and their horsemen" (2 Kings 2:12, 13:14). They were indeed the strength of Israel's chariots and horsemen. Their presence in the battlefield guaranteed victory. Oh, that we may have another generation of Elijahs and Elishas.

• He empowers us for war: There are many portions of Scripture that echo David's sentiment in Psalms 27:1 where he said, "the LORD is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" He will not let His apostles and disciples go to confront the strong evil one without endowing them with unmatchable power (Luke 24:49). We are talking about power from Jehovah God, not political power or power from men, food, alcohol, or fetish things which men have gone after in order to "succeed" in ministry.

Our Father's name is JEHOVAH SABAOTH, which is Hebrew for The God of the Host of Armies. He is the LORD of the true armies (Romans 9:29; James 5:4) Who anoints men and weapons of war. The men (Hazael, Jehu and Elisha) God appointed through Elijah were anointed to rule, prophesy, and kill the enemies of God in warfare (1 Kings 19:15-17).

The God we serve is mighty in Battle – catch His Spirit, in Jesus' Name!

"The CHRISTIAN FAITH" IS WARFARE:

We serve the God Who is a Man of War, Who trains and equips us for battle. Therefore, He requires us to put on the whole armor of God, so we would not be casualties of war (Ephesian 6:11).

• The devil gained rulership over the earth by deceiving Adam. Thereafter, he established a global network that has caused men to fall for him. As those redeemed by the second Adam, the LORD Jesus Christ, we are able to recover dominion of the earth and liberate the devil's captives only through fierce warfare (Matthew 10:34, 11:12, 12:28-29).

• Jesus fought a strongman to recover our freedom and give us victory. Possessing our Promised Land involves fighting the existing giants in the land to drive them out. God could simply annihilate them all by one act of His wonders, but He prefers that we are involved in the eviction process as He guides us (John 14:12). It is part of exercising the authority Christ came to ensure we have. John 16:33 assures us that Jesus has overcome the world. Therefore, we are guaranteed to overcome every challenge and confrontation we are faced with on this side of eternity and beyond.

• Any and all interactions with the devil, the occult, and forces of darkness definitely demands spiritual warfare. Sometimes, healing the sick may involve warfare.  Living a holy and upright life in a crocked and perverse world with debased values and filthy lucre can be a fight. Thank God for grace, but the battle is real; keeping one's selfish desires and emotional excesses under check is no small feat. The Apostle Paul was a focused, target-directed fighter (1 Corinthians 9:26-27). In 1 Timothy 6, he wrote to his son, Timothy, about fighting the good fight of faith in order to stand without blemish or reproach until the appearing of the LORD Jesus Christ (verses 12-14). This is a very stern warning that left young Timothy with no choice but to engage in good fighting all his life. Following in these footsteps will allow us to have a glorious finish like the LORD Jesus Christ (John 17:4) and the Apostle Paul (2 Timothy 4:7).

• The armor of God is for every bonafide Christian. Paul says,"Finally, my brethren,…put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand" (Ephesians 6:10-11). This message is not only for the preacher but for all the saints! We are to individually put on the entirety of the armor of God, with all elements complete to succeed when we stand to fight, to remain upright on our feet. It is both a position and an attitude.

• Even Jesus armed Himself with the "armor of God" (Isaiah 59:15-18) here on earth since He had divested Himself of His heavenly privileges while living out His life on earth in human form, encountering the same things you and I face (Philippians 2:7-8).

• If Jesus, as man, chose to be clothed with this "armor" in order to live out His life in obedience and victory, you and I need that same armor even much more! >END OF STUDY. WS-3
