"A Perspective on Spiritual Warfare..."
"Spiritual Warfare" is more about the condition of the heart than some random demonic attack leveled against you, since the church often teaches us to believe that way..."
"Ephesians 6", is the backdrop for understanding the nature of Satan's kingdom, and clearly communicates the proper "dress" for walking in our authority, by overcoming the evil one. But, the key in discerning what the "armor does", starts with understanding the influence demonic attacks can have against our hearts and minds!
Since Satan is "already a defeated foe", as we consistently walk in - and take our authority in Christ, based upon our agreement and alignment with God's word; we should be able to appropriate or enforce the finished work - and trample over serpents and scorpions, and over ALL THE POWER of the enemy.
The "kingdom suffering violence" is about the necessity for total surrender and abandonment to the will and purpose of God, and to accept Christ's burden and yoke as our own, which is "light" and "easy". When Jesus spoke this in Matthew 11, it was after John questioned whether "He was the one, or should they look for another..." Jesus said, "Blessed are you that are NOT offended in Me." In other words, He knows that "disunity with His (Christ's) ways means frustration in our circumstances!"
Jesus says to BLESS YOUR ENEMIES, because He knew that NOTHING Satan influences anyone to do for or against you, can alter or negatively affect your destiny and purpose; UNLESS you yield or subject yourself to Satan’s influence through them. When you walk in love and your ways please the Lord (by faith through His grace), God is obligated to make your enemies be at peace with you.
When you feel the arrows more than usual, demonic forces are reacting to your response to the Word of God; hoping to intimidate you and induce fear - so you keep your eyes on the temporal circumstances and NOT the Lord, Your God!
"Warfare" is NOT a figment of your imagination - it's your heart out of focus or alignment on the truth of God's word! The whole armor of God is the remedy for the battlefield of the mind, which takes on a comprehensive approach to 'guarding your heart' and 'establishing your heart' with truth, and not the seductive imaginations that try to convince you to believe everything contrary to God's word.
"Perfected love" casts out all 'fear', which is often Satan’s only point of access into your life. Fear has thoughts of torment and punishment, and causes there to be questions that promote worry, not questions that lead to a greater understanding of God's word.
I wanted to encourage you to know you are more than a conqueror through Christ - cause the GREATER ONE is on the inside of you!
I'm agreeing with you for heaven's best, as your soul prospers in the Lord!
