"MY FIRE IS FOR SAFETY" - WOTL 01.27.05

Important Disclaimer: This Word of the Lord was received during a time of private devotion and worship with Jesus Christ in January of 2005. This was common for my departed wife and I, and that context is important to understand for those without the experience or exposure to God speaking. I'm reposting this over seven years later, because I'm now walking in the fulfillment of this powerful declaration - from the Father's heart to ours. Heed this rhema for your own life and ministry! WS-3

"When I speak to you concerning an area that I want you to make corrections, I see the end from the beginning; and often my intent is to help you to overcome a tendency or proclivity that could hinder your future intimacy and success.

 

Intimacy through your daily devotion with me is the key.  Getting understanding about how a process works is sometimes only the seed I plant in your heart in providing direction and ongoing support (Isaiah 60:10-12).

 

Your fruitfulness is meaningful and important to my kingdom, and as long as I am CEO and President of your whole lives, you can always expect my involvement and blessing for sustaining and developing you. (John 15).

 

You will understand priorities and timeliness more than ever before, as I reveal to you the significance of waiting quietly and allowing every work or motivation to be born of the Spirit.

 

It is best for you to learn now the importance of relinquishing heavy loads and responsibilities to me because the tendency for my children, once some level of success is attained, is to slowly nudge me out and commit to the schedule of activities instead of submitting to the heart and mind of their only source of abundant life and power.

 

I am developing in you an alarm for intimacy.  I will plant in your heart themes, topics and scriptures for you two to meditate on. (Matt. 21:43-45).  This daily encounter will help you to set priorities and take “the sweat” out of the work that must be done to fulfill your assignment.  “Success today means die tomorrow” so that you will have future success.  Power is intoxicating!

 

Understand this, I am not minimizing the major mandate I have placed on your lives, but I am showing you that this load you will never be able to carry yourselves.  Unless I breathe on you, energize you, speak to you, and give you my favor, you are just simply out of steam for walking in this responsibility, and seeing “it” to the end.

 

What you saw in that person was “this tendency” that I am speaking to you about.  It can become misplaced zeal and obsolescence, instead of inspired obedience and divine connections.  This attitude tends to shut off or shut out any ‘wise counsel’ that is contrary to their zealous pursuit.  It cannot see beyond its own nose.  Any other viewpoint becomes ‘a vice or trap that the enemy is trying to set to stop him’ instead of a pair of fresh eyes or genuinely concerned counsel that sees the slow, but subtle, deviation from God’s original plans and perfect will.  The pursuit for making your name great becomes more important than the focus on spreading My name and My fame, while the Lord Himself builds the house!

 

So, what am I saying to you both about this building process that is presently taking place?  Am I telling you not to work?  Am I telling you that I don’t smile at your zeal and excitement as you learn new things that relate to your destiny?  No, I am not!

 

I am telling you that your earnest pursuit to hear me, know my heartbeat, have your ear to my whispers and instructions, as well as receiving my message and my sound for my people, is most important!

 

Your priorities are:

1. Your relationship, obedience and devotion with me (study time)
2. Your relationship that you and Charlene cultivate with Me through prayer and devotional studies, with thanksgiving and worship.
3. Your prayer life and intercession concerning the persons, issues or activities I place in your hearts.
4. Your physical health and well-being, as you both continue to walk in my plan for your eating regiment, exercise habits, and supplements you both need to build and protect your bodies.
5. Your daily time working on the songs and books that I’ve spoken to you about.  Decide on specific times during the week to work on music.  Be inspired, but, be disciplined.  You know when you should dedicate some time when it has been sitting without your attention.
6. Any tasks or responsibility I place in your hearts to accomplish before the time period or deadline you’re governed by.  Time works for you, you don’t work for time!

My people really just need me!  And, if you simply help them reach me in everything I’ve anointed you both to teach, your lives will be inundated with divine opportunities and blessings.

 

Billy Graham, himself, said ‘if he could do it all over again, he would spend more time praying and studying’ than he had during the years of ministry I gave him.  He realized that many things he did have no eternal meaning or value, but were done for, or as a result of, his growing popularity and encountering the cycle of exposure to success that often leads the well-intentioned servant of God out of My plans.

 

Your motivation for ministry can never be materially-based, but must be obedience-based and heavenly-centered; meaning, will this thing or activity have any eternal significance?  When your intentions are to simply please Me in everything you do, you stay love-centered; do not put “your image”, “the money”, or “the opportunity” above your relationship with Me and your family (Charlene).

 

I’ve cultivated this understanding in you both all along, but now is the time, as doors begin to swing open, that you do not attempt to be superhuman in your zeal to ‘save the world’, and miss the opportunity to dedicate the necessary time for me, your family, your health, and enjoying your life through leisure activities, rest and adventurous outings (spontaneously).

 

In the near future, you will have to ‘make time’ for these things, but I want you in the habit early on so this never becomes your Delilah or ‘blind spot’ leading to corruption and destruction of marital intimacy, ministry effectiveness and tuning in to My voice for direction in every area.

 

You will work among the ungodly, and most of the time their urgency to push, poke and prod you is concerning the ‘almighty dollar’.  You must never receive the counsel of the ungodly over the wisdom that I have afforded you, because you’re at My feet.

 

You will have and will meet your deadlines, but these deadlines should never take precedence over the priority list that I have established for you.

 

Your biblical example of this ‘well-meaning’ character that started off with My heart in the beginning is King Solomon.  Your biblical example of moving from what caused and facilitated divine growth and progress to humiliation and failure, is King David (2 Kings 11, 2 Samuel 11).

So, I have called you with the same unique gifting as I did with my servant David as prophet = to speak on My behalf and represent My heart to the world.  As priest = to minister unto the Lord and lead your family first, then my people into My holy throne.  And as king = to do great exploits and acquire the spoils of war that kings get as a result of successful battles in warfare, based upon My leadership and guidance only, not as a result of chariots, houses or mighty men!

 

-          Interpretation of Charlene’s dream of January 2001: 

v  The big building represented the kingdoms of this world that were destroyed.  (It was beautiful, massive and looming).  God will destroy ‘the works’ (or building), but His heart is to save the people.

v  The small building represents the Kingdom of God and remnant church, which was totally protected.  (It was an efficient military barracks that totally covered and insulated us from all harm).

 

When God has forgiven us through our repentance and has extended mercy and grace, if we ever find ourselves in the situation to also have mercy on someone else and don’t, then our enemies are given permission to come back to accuse us!  Let not mercy and truth never leave you!

 

We cannot jump on the bandwagon of pity when we’re going through a storm caused by our own disobedience.  We must go through without murmuring against the Lord, and expect Him to be merciful.

 

Inflated self-importance believes any storm they’re facing is about their ministry and their calling, instead of seeing the storms as a purifying agent to take them to higher ground for God’s eternal purposes and not their earthly plans.  The yoke of his youth – Lamentations 3:27.  Until we see God’s mercy as fire and God’s fire as mercy, we don’t understand His ways or heart!

 

We have ‘maturing love’ because He uniquely creates a furnace suited to our past, our experiences, our desires, our appetites and His purpose.  The Hebrew boys walked around freely in the fire after they were commanded to put all their garments on (which represents any of our issues), but only what God wanted to burn in the fire was burned.  He is a consuming fire that wants to protect us, but destroys the hindrances in our lives which holds us back – like the fire that killed the men who held the Hebrew boys."
