SECURE vs INSECURE IDENTITY..
SECURE vs INSECURE IDENTITY..
Pastor Walter L Smith III and Pure In Heart Int'l Ministries, Inc. - PIHIM; WS-3 Enterprises & Associates
For those who read my FB posts: I'm sure I come across quite direct and pointed in my biblical assertions, but the heart or motivation behind my communication is simply about my passionate betrothal with Jesus Christ - and my undying commitment to see the advancement of the Kingdom of God for all eyes to behold, from generation to generation!
Today, I want to God's people who are "nursing insecurities". How do you know whether you are or not?
1. As a leader, your heart is not firmly fixed or established in Christ, so you vascillate in your faith and positions to appease people, or to overcompensate for a lack of capacity you secretly know that exists.
2. As a leader, you constantly feel inadequately guarded or protected, and nurse a struggle with fear of "being" who you know that God has called you to be; due to the potential of either "losing support", or just afraid to upset "the sacred cows" that have occupied space far too long in your midst; this also is the point of entrance for most "inappropriate relationships", and the gateway for the Spirit of Jezebel to camp-out around the leader.
3. As a leader, "in your soul" you wrestle with the nagging reality of your humanness, and privately entertain thoughts of the likelihood of your failure or the potentiality for your weak frame (your perception) to "give way" to sin - because of unsettled issues that remain, which you haven't repented of - or simply don't want to.
Finally, I believe "inferiority" and "insecurity" are both perceived or actual struggles, but either way - Christ has come to make you FREE!
These imaginations of the heart have a "shelf-life", and their "expiration date" is revealed to you the moment you take authority over them; so that they no longer diminish who Christ is "in you" and who you are in Christ!
There are real dire implications from "nursing insecurities" that can become a "force" that guides or follows you as a person - limiting the impact of your witness for Christ; and the subsequent "fruit" that He wants you to bear in His name and on behalf of His Kingdom. BE HEALED! #WS-3
