#INHERENTLY-NEGATIVE-BELIEVERS?
"INHERENTLY NEGATIVE BELIEVERS" are mesmerized by "the evil in this world", and make the unbelieving postures of the unrighteous - BIGGER THAN REDEMPTION "in Christ"! Their often questioning whether we're making headway or progress, because they gage a false metric (the evening news, political commentary, and the world getting 'darker'), as a sign of the success or impact of the kingdom of God..
YES - seeing and hearing the arrogance, indifference and licentious attitudes of this dark world, is definitely a reason to both pray and desire the Imminent Return of Jesus Christ...
BUT "cursing the darkness" isn't the best "sales approach" or strategy for properly representing "the Good News" to the dying world; who truly doubt the possibility of living with ACCEPTANCE, FREEDOM and JOY that's not based upon material things, temporary successes, or satisfying fleshly indulgences!
MY ADVICE:
- Pray to The Lord of the Harvest! Ask HIM to position you to reach the souls that can be salvaged from the gross darkness that is in this world.
- Search your own heart about "why" you're so angry with "sinner's-sinning"? I actually "feel sorry" for the people who believe that their empty lives in sin, have any real meaning or purpose. I'm NOT mad at them.. Just mad at the devil!
- GET BUSY with your assignment in the Kingdom of God! What often motivates our criticism, judgment and "unrighteous indignation" (LOL!) is our unhappiness with our own lack of fulfillment; and/or our "hidden envy" that despises the arrogance of the sinner's enjoying their sin, while wagging their fingers in the face of God and HIS children!
I understand how easy it is to get caught up in the "false" idea that "the Kingdom Contention" going on in the earth, is about "Good vs. Evil", "Angels vs. Demons", or "God vs. Satan...
THE REAL ISSUE is "the hearts of humanity", and although this ensuing battle - is REAL, LIGHT is greater than DARKNESS!
But, it's often very difficult for GOD to get HIS children - "to let their lights shine before men", so darkness seems to prevail; and "in reaction" - Christians begin to "curse the darkness" rather than "shine their light"!
"Cursing the darkness" is FUTILE, because none of us can ADD ANYTHING to "Christ's Finished Work"!
All we can do is APPROPRIATE "it", by communicating, imparting, and sharing its inexhaustible and unlimited presence and truth, with the curious and rebellious world that will welcome its liberating power - IF GOD PERMITS!
..."Of the increase of HIS kingdom, there shall be NO END."
