#LUST-FREE LIVING...
YOU can't help "what you see", but YOU can control "what you look at", after you've seen it! I call this "the covenant with my eyes"; or NOT A SECOND LOOK!
It IS a "protective factor" and maintenance of the heart, that forbids the hyper-sexual culture and lascivious undercurrent in our world, from infecting and polluting your life!
Why is that even necessary?
BECAUSE, "the lust of the flesh", "the lust of the eyes", and "the pride of life", is to have NO DOMINION over YOU!
All THE SIGHTS that are out there, for your visual entertainment and amusement, have a COST associated with them...
EVERY SEED you sow, including those the "eye gates" pursue and supplant in the garden of your heart, will bring forth a HARVEST!
Either LUST will drive you to constructive ends or destructive ends - in the end; and "window shopping" ALWAYS LEADS to a purchase; but NOT necessarily immediate or devastating...at first!
CHRISTIANS: What should make you DIFFERENT, is the governing "fruit of the Holy Spirit", called SELF CONTROL; that guides and guards you in how you STAY FREE, and keep your SPIRITUAL WALLS protected.
So that, when the alluring appeal of someone or something penetrates your heart, you "run into HIS arms, as fast as you can", to preserve the victory that Christ can have "in" and "through you"!
When I consider HOW IRRITATED I become with seeing some guy "lustfully watch" my daughter or wife (as an example), what consistently governs me in my own personal space and in my private moments (when no one is watching), is the conscious reminder of how much I despise the darkness of the soul, which leads others to dishonor and objectify the beauty and innocence of my daughter and wife; by following the lust that blinds them to the evil in their own hearts!
ASK GOD to "possess the reigns of your heart", and fortify yourself in the Holy Ghost, so that LUST has NO DOMINION - over YOU! WS-3
